THE GIRL WITH THE LAZY EYE

Forget black holes, pension schemes, politics and footie
Office drones, corporate slaves, Mr. Benn and Sooty
This cartoon has a heart and it's me who finds the rent
But it's never pumped up, it just loiters with intent
And it's all your fault, it's all on your head
I blame you and shame on you for leaving me for dead
I wanna prick your conscience, I wanna make you think
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him sink

One day, one sunny some day
You'll come and find me
Cut the ties that bind me
And one day, and it's not that far away
You'll come and show me
The eye to eye you owe me

The rules are there aren't any, and there never were
I was dying for us to work and you were dying your hair
You were wired and active and I was weird and passive
Giving it excess all areas with the down the pub massive
I was looking to twist, you were looking to shout
And now even the tide wouldn't take you out
I can see we were entwined but never joined or whole
And your soul and my soul as one became arse hole

One day, one sunny some day
You'll come and find me
Cut the ties that bind me
And one day, and it's not that far away
You'll come and show me
The eye to eye you owe me

Forget black holes, pension schemes, politics and footie
Office drones, corporate slaves, Mr. Benn and Sooty
This cartoon has a heart and it's me who finds the rent
But it's never pumped up, it just loiters with intent
And it's all your fault, it's all on your head
I blame you and shame on you for leaving me for dead
I wanna prick your conscience, I wanna make you think
'Cos you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him sink
